Exhibit at Downtown Central Library

  • Los Angeles Public Library - Central Branch 630 W 5th St Los Angeles, CA, 90071 United States

Piece by Piece exhibit featuring New Works by our participants created in Pique Assiette workshop led by our exceptional Artistic and Program Director, Dawn Mendelson.

The name comes from the French pique-assiette, meaning "one who eats from others' plates."  In mosaic art this refers to a style that incorporates broken ceramics-- plates, dishes, cups, tiles--and other found objects.  The appeal and expressiveness of the style lies with the creative innovation of Piece by Piece participants as they explore a variety of materials to create delightful works.

Week-Long Run July 13 thru July 18.  Exhibit is on public view, with staff present to assist inquiries during the following Reception Hours:

Tuesday July 14 | 5pm - 7pm  Evening Reception
