Diversity and Inclusion

Piece by Piece serves residents of Los Angeles impacted by homelessness, including an inordinate number of minorities and members of disenfranchised populations. By providing free mosaic workshops to the community, our program offers social engagement and income opportunities including outreach workshops and community building.   Piece by Piece is both diverse and inclusive, celebrating disadvantaged individuals from all backgrounds, gender identities, ethnicities, and social and economic status.

Piece by Piece does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations. These activities include, but are not limited to, hiring and firing of staff, selection of board members, volunteers and vendors, and provision of services.  Piece by Piece respects differing points of view that are offered appropriately and in good faith.  We are committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all members of our staff, board, clients, volunteers, vendors, and clients and to showing respect for the dignity and worth of all members of our community.
