About the Artist
One of our most dedicated artisans at Piece by Piece is Hilda M. She loves making mosaics filled with flowers and likes small formats. Originally from Guatemala, Hilda studied in the National Conservatory of Music, the National School of Dance, and the National School of Theater there. Her rich background in the performing arts has been a great benefit to her as she opens herself to new experiences. She has a delicate and gentle style in mosaic, and not only creates her own artwork but has participated in several large group projects with Piece by Piece.

Piece by Piece provides no-cost mosaic art workshops to low-income residents of South Los Angeles, Skid Row, and surrounding areas. These classes provide folks who need it with the healing power of art by teaching them how to make mosaics, and in turn, the trade enables them to earn income through their unique creations.
Mosaic is a strong medium and we use a variety of new and recycled pieces to create our works of art. Our artists are trained in using the most professional techniques to ensure quality work. However, in rare occasions, there may be need for a repair. Piece by Piece offers repairs due to material defects on purchased items at no cost for two years from date of sale. For items that have been broken, left outside, or in need of other repairs, we will assess the extent of damage and, if repairs are possible, provide a quote to restore your item. We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
