"Life is what happens when youā€™re busy making other plans." - John Lennon

Any personal information you want to share?
Iā€™m still struggling to live as minimalist and simple of a life as I can. To me, that is very Floridian!

Where are you from? Where do you live now?
I was born and raised in Miami-Dade County in Florida. Today I live in Santa Monica, California, in Los Angeles County.

Tell us about your family.
Iā€™m single and have no children, but Iā€™ve always thought about becoming a foster parent.

Tell us about past work/school or other meaningful experiences.
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from Swarthmore College and a Master of Fine Arts in television and film production from the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts.

What is something you are proud of?
Iā€™m proud to live a creative life.

When did you first come to Piece by Piece?
I joined Piece by Piece in June 2014.

How have you grown as a person and artist since joining Piece by Piece?
I have learned that, when you follow your instincts, you canā€™t fail - in art or in life!

When did you start creating mosaics? (approx. year)
I donā€™t recall when I first made them, but I started making mosaic with regular practice in 2014.

How did you first hear about Piece by Piece?
I first heard about Piece by Piece through the California EDD.

What has Piece by Piece and creating mosaics added to your life?
I have worked at Piece by Piece for many years. Piece by Piece has formed part of the foundation for my current life and art production.

Who inspires you?
Devoted artists, recovering homeless people and struggling low-income people inspire me because they help me to see the better reality that we can create together as a community.

What project have you enjoyed most? And why?
Broadwayā€™s Blooming was one of the first large projects on which I worked. Creating my first mosaic rose for the project proved a confidence builder. I enjoyed watching the entire development of the project from beginning to end, and I still love to look at the finished wall project in the garden space.

What are you most proud of from your PxP time so far?
I have learned better to push doubts to the back of my mind and to move forward into new areas of development with learning and security.
