Certified mosaic artist John V designed and created this work of art in our LA studio. John first heard about Piece by Piece from another artist and was inspired to join as well. He first begin with Piece by Piece in 2022.
Pieces are intended for indoor use. Please clean gently with a microfiber cloth.
John is a Boyle Heights native who joined Piece by Piece in 2022. A former caregiver, he enjoys both mosaic art and sketching. He finds inspiration in the work of fellow artists and takes pride in finishing creative projects—especially a self-portrait and an autumn leaf frame. For John, Piece by Piece is a space to grow, connect, and stay creative.

Piece by Piece provides no-cost mosaic art workshops to low-income residents of South Los Angeles, Skid Row, and surrounding areas. These classes provide folks who need it with the healing power of art by teaching them how to make mosaics, and in turn, the trade enables them to earn income through their unique creations.
Mosaic is a strong medium and we use a variety of new and recycled pieces to create our works of art. Our artists are trained in using the most professional techniques to ensure quality work. However, in rare occasions, there may be need for a repair. Piece by Piece offers repairs due to material defects on purchased items at no cost for two years from date of sale. For items that have been broken, left outside, or in need of other repairs, we will assess the extent of damage and, if repairs are possible, provide a quote to restore your item. We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.To start a return, you can contact us at info@piecebypiece.org. Please note that returns will need to be sent to the following address: 1815 S.
